To assist the Nene Park Trust team in delivering educational activities in Nene Park.

What age is this suitable for?

  • Suitable for age 18 and over

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing materials and equipment for use by visiting school groups.
  • Support the Education and Activities Manager, Senior Education and Activities Officer and Education and Activities Officer as they lead educational activities for visiting school groups.

You will need to show

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with people of all ages and backgrounds
  • Willingness to learn about the Park and visitor offer
  • Willingness to undergo DBS check
  • Willingness to undergo other training e.g. disability awareness
  • Willingness to work in all weathers
  • Willingness to be First Aid trained
  • Ability to work as part of a team and unaccompanied
  • Reliability and flexibility
  • Lots of enthusiasm and a can-do attitude

Availability

School visits usually take place between 10:00am-2:30pm on week days. Volunteers would be expected to be available from 9:15am on the day of a school visit to assist with preparing materials and equipment for the group.  Days worked can be by negotiation with the Senior Education and Activities Officer.
