Ferry Meadows

Ferry Meadows is the ideal place for a family day out and one of the largest country parks in the region. Situated less than three miles from Peterborough city centre, at the heart of Nene Park, its varied landscapes make it the favourite destination for thousands of visitors throughout the year.

At Nene Outdoors, we offer Pay and Play activities, providing visitors of all ages and abilities with the opportunity to enjoy watersports, cycle hire, climbing, archery and open water swimming.

In this workshop June will teach you techniques to cut your own glass and use a mould to create the shape you are looking for and for the other butterfly, using a precut template to get the shape and the design is yours to create.   • River to Rail Guided Walk

    Join ranger Jamie to walk the Nene Way from Ferry Meadows to Wansford railway station. You will take in the key sites and sounds of Ferry Meadows before walking out to the Park's peaceful Rural Estate joining the Nene Way to Wansford NVR station with time to look around the station before heading back to Ferry Meadows on the train.
