Ferry Meadows is the ideal place for a family day out and one of the largest country parks in the region. Situated less than three miles from Peterborough city centre, at the heart of Nene Park, its varied landscapes make it the favourite destination for thousands of visitors throughout the year.
At Nene Outdoors, we offer Pay and Play activities, providing visitors of all ages and abilities with the opportunity to enjoy watersports, climbing, archery and open water swimming.
Our Visitor Centre & Gift Shop in Ferry Meadows has a wealth of visitor information as well as gifts and local products to buy.
Complete a trail around Ferry Meadows, answer the questions and claim a prize at the end! On every day in the school holidays 10am-4:00pm.
We welcome all swimmers to our regular weekly sessions every Thursday 5:30-7:00pm. Open water swimming is one of the fastest growing sports in the country combining an opportunity to improve fitness with an enjoyment of the outdoors. No need to book but swimmers will need to be registered with NOWCA. Read more
