Ferry Meadows

Ferry Meadows is the ideal place for a family day out and one of the largest country parks in the region. Situated less than three miles from Peterborough city centre, at the heart of Nene Park, its varied landscapes make it the favourite destination for thousands of visitors throughout the year.

Pay and Play activities

At Nene Outdoors, we offer Pay and Play activities, providing visitors of all ages and abilities with the opportunity to enjoy watersports, climbing, archery and open water swimming.

  • The Further Adventure of Dr Dolittle

    Illyria bring their Outdoor Theatre production of the Further Adventures of Dr Dolittle to Ferry Meadows this year. A production for all the family, featuring a fully orchestrated score, amazing puppets and a plethora of songs. Bring a rug or low chair, sit back and enjoy the show. Read more

  • Open Water Swimming

    Our open water swimming sessions continue every Thursday. We welcome all swimmers to our regular weekly sessions every Thursday 5:30-7:00pm. Open water swimming is one of the fastest growing sports in the country combining an opportunity to improve fitness with an enjoyment of the outdoors. No need to book but swimmers will need to be registered with NOWCA. Read more
