Ferry Meadows is our busiest Park, but we also care for other greenspaces around Peterborough, as well as Nene Outdoors Watersports & Activity Centre, a community plant nursery, sports pitches and other special places, all for everyone to enjoy.

Just three miles from Peterborough, Ferry Meadows is a beautiful Park full of lakes, meadows and woodlands to explore. Perfect for families, walkers or anyone who loves nature, there’s something here for everyone, whether it’s a gentle stroll or some outdoor adventures.

Located in the heart of Ferry Meadows, Nene Outdoors is the perfect destination for outdoor fun and adventure, offering exciting watersports and activities for the whole family to enjoy together.

Thorpe Meadows

Thorpe Meadows is a peaceful Park on the edge of Peterborough, just east of Ferry Meadows. At its heart is a purpose-built rowing lake, surrounded by riverside paths, a unique sculpture collection, plus a mini playground and a cosy café serving tasty treats.

Our Impact

As a charity, it is our mission to improve the health and wellbeing of our visitors and we do this by offering quality greenspaces, community places, art and cultural experiences. Find out more about some of the projects we are working on which make a difference.

Your Community Greenspace

This five year project, funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund will complete in 2026 and includes improvements to Park infrastructure, new events and community projects that will respond to the growth of the city and region.

Norman Cross

Thanks to funding from Historic England and The National Lottery Heritage Fund we have now taken ownership of this site of the world’s first purpose built prisoner of war camp, just south of Peterborough. We want to preserve the site and tell its fascinating story.
