Forest school

Nene Outdoors logo
The Education Team at Nene Park Trust are very excited to be able to offer a variety of outdoor learning opportunities through our dedicated Forest School site based at Ferry Meadows.

We can offer:

children enjoying a forest school

Forest School courses

An opportunity for children to make regular visits to the same site to take part in a variety of activities. Our staff will work with you to develop a programme tailored around the needs and interests of your children. Activities may include: using natural materials to make things, using hand tools, having campfires, building dens and finding and identifying different plants and animals. Courses are booked in blocks of 6 sessions.  Sessions last for 2 hours and usually take place weekly or fortnightly.

Forest School taster days

A full day of Forest School activities. Sessions will include a range of activities and may feature tool and fire use. A great way to introduce your children to Forest Schools or to have a go at some of the Forest School activities you are unable to do at your own school site.

Use our site and equipment to deliver your own sessions

If you have a member of staff with a Level 3 Forest School qualification you can hire our site and equipment to deliver your own Forest School sessions.
