Archery Bell Boating  Bushcraft Shelter Building
Use a bow to shoot arrows at a target. Archery has been used for hunting and combat for centuries, but now you can experience this as a recreational activity. With 12 paddlers and 1 helm, the Bell Boat's purpose is to remove the fear of taking part in watersports, to help with team work and co-operation. The versatility of the Bell Boat holds no bounds; its stable platform is perfect for introducing all ages to watersports. Come along and learn different techniques for building shelters out of all the things you can find in our wooded areas!
Bushcraft Fire Lighting & Campfire Cooking Bushcraft Tool Use Canoeing
Learn how to build a fire using just the basics, take on the challenge of making your own small fire, then make your own campfire snack. Use the natural materials around you to make useful tools that you can take home with you whilst learning important skills as well as safety knowledge around using sharp objects.   Using a single bladed paddle and generally with one or two other people, you can enjoy a recreational paddle on our lake with one of our hire craft or you can bring your own and launch it for the day.
Climbing Kayaking Orienteering
We have two mobile climbing walls - a real rock effect and a clip and climb wall. They are often up in the Park for you to come and experience climbing as an activity. Our mobile walls are available to hire for your function, fete or event. Kayaking is distinguished from canoeing by the sitting position of the paddler rather than kneeling, and the number of blades on the paddle. It is a great way to enjoy the water by yourself or with others. Learn basic map skills and pick from one of our short, medium or long routes to put your new knowledge to the test. Can you find all the markers set around the Park?
Pioneering Power Kiting Problem Solving
Work together as a team to build improvised structures using wooden poles, rope and some other basic items. There are various different challenges including building bridges, catapults and more. Power kiting has evolved into sports such as kite surfing and snow kiting. We offer the fundamentals of this sport with our power kites. Our large open fields lend themselves to learning how to control a kite in the air and the power they produce. A fantastic way to build teams or get to know people, our team will work with your group to get the best out of them using various puzzles and problems to work together to find the solutions.
Raft Building Sailing Stand Up Paddle Boarding (SUP)
Fancy the challenge of building an improvised paddle craft? We will give you the basic equipment including large barrels, wooden poles and rope for you to challenge yourself and others to see who could escape from the island they are stranded on. Come and learn with us on an RYA affiliated sailing course, or if you have a minimum of RYA Level 2, you can hire one of our sailing dinghies and enjoy the lake at your leisure. A paddle sport that gives you a full body workout, whether you are an expert or beginner. For a gentle explore, use a board similar to a surf board and a long paddle to propel yourself wherever you wish to go.
Windsurfing
A great mix of sailing and surfing all wrapped up in one. Come and learn with us, or if you can already windsurf to the RYA Start Windsurfing Level you can hire our equipment.
