Learning to sail is rewarding and exciting. We operate the RYA Sailing Scheme throughout the year, each course is 2 days and promote a safe and fun learning environment. Around fifty years ago, the idea of Ferry Meadows was being imagined. Professor Stephen Upex, lead a team of archaeologists to discover the history of Romans at Ferry Meadows before the park was created. In this session, Stephen will have some of the pottery that he found for you to handle and look at in detail and he will talk about the roman history that is under your feet. Read more
