Meet the Roman professor

Around fifty years ago, the idea of Ferry Meadows was being imagined. Professor Stephen Upex, lead a team of archaeologists to discover the history of Romans at Ferry Meadows before the park was created. 

In this session, Stephen will have some of the pottery that he found for you to handle and look at in detail and he will talk about the roman history that is under your feet.

Remember to bring lots of questions to ask, what have you always wanted to know?
