Chief Executive During his time here, Matthew has ‘re-master planned’ the Park’s extensive landholding and implemented a ten-year strategy ‘Doing More with More’. Matthew is passionate about the environment and the benefits it provides. Previously, he held senior roles at the Land Trust and Norfolk Wildlife Trust. He takes an active role with The Parks Alliance, is a Board Member of Cambridgeshire Local Nature Partnership, a Member of the Broads Authority & Trustee of Living Sport. Read more
Director of Operations and Growth (Deputy CEO) Andrew oversees the operational work of the Trust, alongside ensuring delivery of our Master Plan and keeping other new initiatives on track and integrated across all our teams. Andrew has led many of the major changes and projects at the Trust over recent years. Holding a degree in Countryside and Environmental Management, Andrew has held a variety of roles in charities, not-for-profits and commercial consultancy. Read more
Head of Fundraising Adrian is responsible for charitable income generation across the Trust, including individual & corporate giving, Trusts & Foundations and statutory funds. With over 20 years fundraising and financial management experience, Adrian brings expertise in securing and managing grants and donations. He also oversees our work to monitor the social and environmental impact of the Trust. Adrian is a Trustee at Nene Valley Railway and Nenescape Landscape Partnership. Read more
Head of Organisational Development Selina oversees organisational development at the Trust, promoting a positive working culture in the organisation, implementing change management processes, managing learning and development and human resources. Additionally Selina oversees the Administrative Team and acts as Company Secretary for the Board. Selina has a history of working in the environment charity industry and is passionate about sustainability and health and wellbeing. Read more
Head of Marketing Jen is responsible for the marketing and communications for the Trust as well as overseeing the retail offering at the Visitor Centre. Jen has over 18 years’ experience working in marketing across a variety of industries from the arts to automotive. Jen previously worked as a marketing consultant, supporting trusts, charities and visitor attractions to tell their story, and was instrumental in securing the title of 2021 UK City of Culture for Coventry. Head of Visitor EngagementStephanie oversees our education and learning activities, Nene Outdoors offer and our growing Events programme. With Steph’s background in the arts and cultural sector, she brings expertise in cultural planning and development. She chairs a Creative People and Places programme in Fenland and West Suffolk, is a Director of Peterborough’s Cultural Partnership for Children and Young people and is part of the team behind the Peterborough Cultural Alliance. Head of Parks Consultancy Rob is responsible for supporting the Trust in delivering greater impact by investing in opportunities which maximise commercial, social and environmental returns and delivering opportunities for growing the Trust and the ‘Park’. A qualified accountant Rob has worked at senior levels in the private, public and social enterprise sectors leading regeneration programmes. In 2021 he authored the national report Making Parks Count for the government. Read more
Education and Activities Manager Anna is a qualified teacher of science, an Accredited Practitioner of the Institute for Outdoor Learning and a founding member of the Outdoor Learning Hub. Anna joined the Trust in 2010 and has spent the last 10 years building an education and activities service which now sees over 5,500 students per year engage in educational activities as well as over 21,000 members of the public take part in NPT activities and events. Park Manager Greg is responsible for the daily operational management of Nene Park Trust land, buildings, health and safety and facilities. Greg's background is in countryside management with a specialism and passion in arboriculture. Greg has worked in the conservation and countryside management sector for over 25 years. Passionate about nature and the great outdoors, Greg has a young family and is a keen road cyclist. Read more
Acting Head of Development Nicola is responsible for developing and delivering a variety of projects for Nene Park Trust. After working in the NHS, she changed careers in 2010 and hasn’t looked back, working for both local and national charities, with experience in visitor engagement, habitat restoration and securing external funding. She is passionate about finding innovative ways to get people interested in nature, heritage, and spending more time outdoors. Read more
Finance Manager Mark re-joined the Trust in 2022 after a short time working in the NHS. Prior to this, Mark was with the Trust for 18 years, coming from a commercial background after completing his degree in Business at Cambridge. Over the past 19 years, Mark has witnessed significant changes and improvements to the Trust’s operations, habitat for wildlife and engagement with our visitors both new and old. Mark is also our technical lead on ICT matters. Read more
Events Manager Pete heads up the Trust's new Events Team. He has spent the last 30 years working for the National Trust, Cambridge Corn Exchange & Cambridge Junction programming and delivering some their biggest events. He has worked in the festival and events industry for most of his life and specialises in creating partnerships in the arts, culture and business sector. He is passionate about history & heritage and is happiest roaming historic sites across the UK. Read more
Interim Outdoors Activity Centre Manager Devon is responsible for the operation of Nene Outdoors Watersports & Activity Centre, which offers a variety of watersports, RYA sailing courses, camping and outdoor adventurous activities for the general public, schools, groups and corporate organisations. Devon is a qualified watersports instructor, with a particular passion for windsurfing, which he has been teaching since he was just 16 years old! Read more
