The Trust
Nene Park Trust is the registered charity responsible for Ferry Meadows and the wider Nene Park estate. We celebrate arts, heritage, wellbeing and community, and share our expertise across the sector to help bring new greenspaces to life.
Since 1988, we have been dedicated to protecting these beautiful green spaces for generations to come. From conserving wildlife and celebrating local heritage to supporting biodiversity and promoting health and wellbeing through sport, leisure and cultural activities, everything we do is guided by our commitment to the Park and its communities.
The Trust was granted a 999-year lease on the land and endowed with commercial properties and other assets. Income generated from these helps support the ongoing care and maintenance of the Park.
Our core purpose is to
- Provide high-quality facilities for recreation, education and leisure
- Establish and enhance parkland facilities
- Conserve and safeguard wildlife
- Preserve, restore and develop Park infrastructure and features
Our charitable objective
To provide for the recreation of the public by the provision of Parks for the benefit of the inhabitants of Peterborough and the region, with the object of improving the conditions of life for such persons.
Our vision
To be the region’s favourite Park, providing a permanent haven for heritage and wildlife and a wide choice of recreational activities for the people of Peterborough and the wider community.

Meet the Leadership Team
Matthew Bradbury
Chief Executive
Passionate about the environment and culture, and the benefits they bring to everyone, Matthew comes from a farming background and is a Fellow of the Landscape Institute. He also serves as a Non-Executive Director for several non-profit organisations.
Phil Hodgett
Chief Finance Officer
Phil oversees Finance and Business Services. He joined the Trust during its period of investment and expansion in 2023, bringing many years of charity sector experience across small, medium and large regional and national organisations.
Adrian Oates
Director of Development & Partnerships
Adrian leads charitable income generation across the Trust. With over 20 years’ fundraising and financial management experience, he also oversees the Trust’s marketing activity and its social and environmental impact work.
Duncan Bridges
Director of Landscape & Conservation
Duncan oversees land management across the Trust. With over 30 years’ experience in conservation, ecology, public access and agricultural land management, he is passionate about combining conservation with agriculture in publicly accessible landscapes.
Selina Wilson
Director of People & Strategy
Selina leads all internal people functions at the Trust, fostering a positive, inclusive culture and overseeing HR, learning and development. She brings a strong passion for sustainability and employee wellbeing.
Steph Peachey
Director of Engagement
Steph leads the Trust’s education and outdoor adventure activity and our expanding events programme. With a background in the arts and cultural sector, she brings expertise in cultural planning and development, and is actively involved in several local cultural initiatives.
Rob Pearce
Head of Parks Consultancy
Rob supports the Trust in creating greater impact by investing in opportunities that maximise commercial, social and environmental returns, helping grow both the Trust and the Park. A qualified accountant, he has held senior roles across the private, public and social enterprise sectors.
Greg Higby
Head of Landscape
Greg oversees the daily operational management of Nene Park Trust’s land, buildings, facilities and health and safety. With over 25 years’ experience in conservation and countryside management, he brings a specialism and passion for arboriculture.
Chris Rollason
Conservation Manager
Chris oversees habitat management and nature conservation projects across Nene Park. He leads the conservation ranger team, supports broader park operations and brings a deep passion for nature, history and the outdoors.
Devon Brooks
Centre Manager
Devon manages Nene Outdoors Watersports & Activity Centre, offering adventurous activities for the public, schools, groups and corporate clients. He’s a qualified watersports instructor with a passion for windsurfing.
Teresa Fairchild
Commercial Events Manager
Teresa leads on commercial events, from seasonal celebrations to immersive experiences. With over a decade in catering and events management, she creates inclusive, engaging and sustainable events to support the Trust’s income.
Meet our Trustees
Mark Duckmanton
Our Chair of Trustees, Mark, has over two decades’ experience as a Director in tech and digital services and shifted to the hospitality and environmental tech sector in 2019. Passionate about the environment, he applies sustainability best practices alongside the goals of a commercially focused, growth-oriented business.
Christine de Ferrars Green
Christine is a lawyer with extensive experience advising local landowners and developers, specialising in the long-term provision of community open spaces and shared facilities. She believes in the value of accessible green spaces for wellbeing and future generations.
David Goodson
David is a rural chartered surveyor with over 30 years’ experience in the charity and consultancy sectors. Having started at the Woodland Trust, he now leads the Savills business in Peterborough, where he has worked for 20 years, and enjoys walking and cycling in the countryside.
Garry Bowman
Garry has lived in the Peterborough area for over 30 years. A former Big 4 Management Consultant in Financial Services, he is passionate about the role of green spaces in wellbeing and supports the development of the Trust, its parkland, attractions and events.
Jamie McCann
Jamie is a Director at Goose Advisory, providing fractional leadership and practical advisory support to insurance businesses, helping shape strategy, deliver change and improve commercial performance. He is passionate about fostering a collaborative, creative, and customer-focused culture.
Kerry Simmons
Kerry is Chief Marketing Officer at Bright Network and a Non-Executive Director at the University of Essex, with over 25 years’ experience in purpose-driven organisations. She is passionate about the positive impact of green and open spaces on people and communities.
Linda Cooke
Linda has 25 years’ experience in IT across retail banking and insurance. She leads large-scale IT teams, mergers, and transformation programs, bringing expertise in governance, stakeholder management, financial oversight, and supplier contracts.
Lucinda Robinson
A qualified teacher, Linda works as a Special Educational Needs Coordinator in a primary school, holds a BSc (Hons) in Ecological Science & Natural Resource Management, and is a Trustee at WestRaven Community Café and Garden CIO.
Paul Harknett
Paul has over 30 years’ experience as a Business & Technology Change Executive in the global financial services sector. He is a commercially savvy leader who fosters collaborative environments, helping cross-functional teams achieve sustainable success.
Rebecca Stephens
Rebecca is the owner and director of a communications consultancy supporting a wide range of public and private sector clients. A former newspaper editor, she has led award-winning campaigns, launched new publications and held several non-executive roles in the public sector.
