Our statement on asylum seekers at the Dragonfly Hotel Recently, it has been announced that the Home Office is using the Dragonfly Hotel on the edge of Thorpe Meadows as a temporary housing solution for asylum seekers. The Dragonfly hotel is not on Nene Park Trust land but is directly adjacent to Thorpe Meadows, which is part of Nene Park. The hotel will accommodate 146 male asylum seekers as they begin the asylum process. Their care will be managed by Serco, as has been the case with other hotels in Peterborough. Nene Park Trust is an inclusive charity, here to serve all our residents, whether they're newly arrived or long-term. We have recently invested in Thorpe Meadows to make it more welcoming and safe, as we want all our communities to enjoy this part of the park. We are keen to work closely with the local authority and our neighbours to ensure everyone feels welcome across all of our spaces. Manage Cookie Preferences
