Creating a display of hearts – heart bunting making

We would like to invite schools, groups and individuals to join us to create a display of heart bunting, that will decorate the Peterborough Celebrates Festival site, giving everyone the opportunity to get involved in the run up to the festival and be part of the event.

The festival theme this year is a joyful Love Letter to Peterborough, and it will showcase all that is great about the city with a little added “wow” and spectacle.

We would like a group, class, year group, or even the whole school to make and decorate a heart using recycled drinks cartons/ tetra packs from home. This can be done within a project at school, community group or at home, and we will collect your hearts from you and display them at the festival.

To make a big impact, each school/ group will use one theme linked to what they love about our city and by using your school colours. The hearts will collected by us, made into bunting and displayed together over the weekend. The display will be labelled with the school or group's name so that everyone can bring their families along to see the display, take some colourful photos and join in the Festival fun.
