Teacher training

Nene Outdoors logo

Incorporating regular opportunities for outdoor learning into your teaching has been proven to be a great way to achieve curriculum goals while at the same time boosting pupil’s physical and mental wellbeing.

However many teachers tell us they feel they lack the experience or confidence to take their teaching outdoors.  Our CPD training and RQF registered training courses provide a range of opportunities for teachers and education professionals to build your skills and gain experience.

All of our training takes place in person at Ferry Meadows Country Park.  The theory elements of the courses will be delivered in the comfortable surroundings of the Lakeside Meeting Room or the Discovery Den Education Centre, while the practical skills sessions will take place outdoors in our dedicated forest school site. Places are available to book individually on courses running throughout the year or if you have several staff you would like to train please get in touch to discuss booking a private course.  Some courses may also be suitable for delivery at a setting of your choice.  Please contact us for more information.

Level 2 and 3 courses are RQF regulated and delivered in association with Cambium Sustainable.  Cambium was one of the first Forest School training organisations established in the UK and has the largest network of accredited trainers in the UK.
