The Beach at Orton Mere FAQs 

  1. Who is running this event? 
    The Beach at Orton Mere is operated by Leslie Danter & Sons Amusements and hosted by Nene Park.
  1. What is the price and what’s included? 
    It’s £10.99 per child for a 3 hour session. This includes unlimited fairground rides, plus crazy golf and a 30-foot sandpit with deckchairs. Additional charges will apply at the game stalls and food and drink stalls. Under 2s go free.
  1. What fairground rides will be available? 
    Crooked cottage, helter-skelter, swing boats, chair o‘planes, merry-go-round, bungee trampolines and jet planes.
  1. What are the session times? 
    There are 2 sessions available per day. 10am until 1pm and 2pm until 5pm.
  1. What age is this event recommended for? 
    2 – 10 years old. Adults and older children not using the facilities are free of charge. Maximum 2 adults per child.
  1. What if the child over 10 years old, would like to participate in specific activity? 
    If any of the free ticket holders would like to use a specific ride on the session, there will be an opportunity to pay per ride.
  1. Do I have to pre-book or I can pay at the gate/walk-in? 
    Online bookings are preferred, to avoid disappointment on busy days. However, you can pay at the gate if there is availability. To book your tickets online please click here.
  1. What type of payment methods do you accept? 
    Cash and card will be accepted.
  1. Do I have to pay for parking? 
    Limited free parking is available at the Orton Mere overflow car park.
  1. How can I get to the event?

  1. Can I bring my dog? 
    Unfortunately, dogs or any other pets are not permitted within the event space.
  1. Will there be a toilet facility? 
    There will be portable toilets available during the event.

  1. Will there be any food or drink available? 
    Yes, there will be fast food, slushy drinks, candy floss, sweets, and soft drink available at an additional cost.
  1. Will there be any quiet sessions? 
    Yes, we’ll be running a quiet session every Monday 10am to 1pm, which will run at half capacity (70 children) with no lights and no music.
  1. How long is the event on for? 
    From Tuesday 1st August until Monday 28th August 2023.
  1. What if my session is cancelled?
    If for any reason a session is cancelled, we will try our best to book you on an alternative. If this is not an option, a refund will be given. Sessions will only be cancelled if the weather conditions present a danger.
  1. All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult 18 or above.
