Activities on every day 

Complete a trail at Ferry Meadows: Pick up a trail sheet from the Visitor Centre for £1 between 9am and 5pm, answer the questions as you walk around the Park and return to the Visitor Centre to claim your prize. There will be a new trail up in the Park from Friday 5th August.

Pay & Play Watersports at Nene Outdoors: Make a splash with our full range of Pay and Play activities on Gunwade Lake, with activities available between 11am and 6pm each day. Daily watersports activities include swan pedalos and row boats, stand up paddle boards, kayaks and canoes, dinghies and windsurfing. Book your activities online to avoid the queues here.

Cycle Hire: Hire a bike from Nene Outdoors and discover miles of traffic-free cycling paths, lakeside trails and woodland routes in the Park. Choose from mountain bikes, hybrid bikes, children’s bikes, child seats and trailers, tandems or electric bikes. Click here to book online or hire on the day at the Nene Outdoors reception.

Take a boat trip: Take a trip around Overton Lake and onto the River Nene in our new eco passenger boat and enjoy unique views and the wildlife around Ferry Meadows. Book your tickets now. 

Camping in the Park! Enjoy a night or more under canvas on the peaceful banks of Gunwade Lake this summer! Our two campsites, The Glade and Lakeview, are perfect for families and offer visitors the choice of pitch-only camping and bell tent hire on an individual or group booking basis. Events by date

Tuesday 30th August - Climbing Wall, 11am - 3.30pm

Try a new sporting challenge this summer with our climbing wall sessions!  the sessions run from 11am to 4pm and last for 45 minutes. Tickets cost £10 per person. Click here to book.

Wednesday 31st August - Guided Cycle Rides, 9.30am and 1.30pm

Join our Instructors at Nene Outdoors for a Guided Cycle Ride through the Park and out into the Countryside beyond. Suitable for 8 Yrs+ (Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult) Bring your own bike or hire one from Nene Outdoors. This is a free session, thanks to funding from LNER as part of the On Ya Bike project in partnership with PECT. Wednesday 31st August - Pond Dipping, 12pm to 3pm

Unfortunately this event has had to be cancelled due to low water levels at Lynch Lake. 

Wednesday 31st August - Nene Park Art Club taster, 10.30am - 12pm

14-19 year olds can join us for a taster of the Nene Park Art Club (monthly sessions starting in September).  This session is free but please click here to book your place. 

Wednesday 31st August - Social Walking Group, 10.30am-12pm

Join our regular social walking group to keep fit, explore new areas of Nene Park and make new friends.  Walks are led by a member of the Nene Park Team and are approximately 5 km  (3 miles) in distance.  This month we will meet at Milton Ferry Bridge and explore the Park towards Castor. Saturday 3rd & Sunday 4th September - Adults RYA Start Sailing Level 1

This two-day beginner Adult course is 2 days takes you through the basics of dinghy sailing, getting you to a standard where you are able to enjoy the freedom of sailing. It costs £166. Click here to book 

Saturday 3rd & Sunday 4th September - Visit Longthorpe Tower, 10am to 4.30pm
Visit Longthorpe Tower, the surviving tower of a 14th century, three storey medieval fortified Manor House. It contains the finest set of medieval wall paintings in a domestic setting in Western Europe, giving a rare insight into the medieval mind. Book your 1-hour tour with our knowledgeable volunteers at weekends throughout the summer.

Sunday 4th September - Cycle Skills Track, 11am - 4pm 

Come and have a go at our cycle skills track at Nene Outdoors - just drop in, no need to book. This is a free session, thanks to funding from LNER as part of the On Ya Bike project in partnership with PECT.
