We are very pleased to share that in our annual assessment by Visit England, Ferry Meadows Country Park has achieved an overall percentage score of 90% and therefore retains accreditation as a Quality Visitor Attraction under Visit England's scheme. This score sees an increase of 2% on the score of our last assessment in May 2021.

The assessor reported that it was a good visit to Ferry Meadows Country Park, with the key areas of Attraction, Cleanliness, Retail and Staff all showing an improvement on the previous assessment - no mean feat following the challenging 2020/21 global Covid pandemic.

There were many strengths noted in the assessment, in particular the appearance and presentation of the grounds across all areas of the Park; the friendly and welcoming staff in the Visitor Centre and Farm Shop; the excellent service and customer care in Lakeside Kitchen and Bar; the very impressive range of quality products in the Farm Shop and the high standards of cleanliness throughout all assessed areas.

We do have areas that we need to improve on, in particular the dated toilet blocks. However we are pleased that our plans as part of the Your Community Greenspace project over the next few years cover these areas so we know these will be improved soon.

Overall, we are very pleased that the hard work of our staff and volunteers has been recognised by this assessment and that Ferry Meadows continues to be a quality accredited visitor attraction.
