From the 1^st February this year, the parking tariff will be increasing at all the Nene Park car parks. 

As a charity with no public funding towards running costs, Nene Park Trust relies heavily on parking income to enable it to continue to maintain, nurture and develop the beautiful landscapes of Nene Park and the wide range of leisure and education activities, heritage and events. Increasing parking charges by around 10% is in line with inflation and is necessary to meet increasing running costs and continue to make important improvements to the Park.

As a result of visitor parking payments over the last year, the Trust has been able to begin the improved car park at Lakeside, develop our calendar of events, make improvements to Otter Play and carry out important forestry work, among many other projects.

The tariff increase will see visitors to Ferry Meadows paying an additional 10p on a stay of up to 1 hour or an additional 20p for a stay of three hours. The Ferry Meadows tariff has been simplified with charges increasing hourly rather than half hourly. The parking tariff at Orton Mere, Thorpe Meadows and Thorpe Wood remains good value, at just £1.80 for one hour, or £2.90 for up to 24 hours. Our annual parking memberships will also be increasing at all our car parks but they still offer amazing value, with the Ferry Meadows car park membership working out at just £1.63 a week.
