As a joint initiative between Nene Park Trust, the PDAA and the Wildlife Trust, to restore and improve the riverbank, new cattle fencing will be being installed along the riverbank in the Tumuli Field in Castor on Wednesday 21 April.

This new fencing will help prevent poaching of the riverbank from cattle, which can be quite destructive. By preventing cattle poaching, it will help the riverbank to recover and will allow more bankside vegetation to grow, which will be beneficial to the river and its wildlife.

Access to the riverbank will still be possible through hand gates that will be installed.

Thank you for your patience and understanding while this work is carried out.
