Our visitor improvements are continuing in the Centre Point area of Ferry Meadows and from Monday 8th January 2024 there are a few important temporary changes to access and facilities that we’d love you to be aware of.

From the 8th January, the whole of the Centre point area will be closed off which means the usual toilet facilities, parking payment machines and routes from the car park into the Park are not available.

The toilet block is being refurbished and so while this work is happening, please use the toilets at the Ferry Meadows Café (open 9am-4pm) or use the toilet block at Lakeside.

Please use the parking payment machine in the coach car park, just a short walk away. Alternatively, if you are already a parking app user, you can continue to pay this way. We will be introducing an additional QR code payment method but this may not quite be in place when the work starts - keep an eye on our social media for updates on this.

Access from the car park into the Park is a short walk across Coney Meadow to join the main path by Otter Play OR through a cut through at the top of the car park area behind the toilet block.

The best park access for visitors with mobility scooters or wheelchairs is via the hard standing cut through path at the top of the car park – please see the map below where the yellow lines indicate the access from the car park into the Park.

The miniature railway is still running at weekends while this work is being carried out. Passengers can board the train at the usual boarding area, which can still be accessed from the car park.

Thank you to all our visitors for their patience and understanding while we carry out these improvements. We promise the changes will be worth the short period of inconvenience! If you have any further questions do contact us at [email protected].

The red shaded area indicates the area which will be closed off while these improvement works are being carried out.

The yellow lines indicate where you can access the Park from the car park.
