Fungi Foray Talk and Walk

Join Jonathon from Fen Fungi to discover the wonderful world of fungi. The day will start with introductory talk on fungi (about 45 minutes); then a walk around the park looking for, identifying and picking fungi. We will stop for lunch (about half an hour); then a wrap up session, reviewing what has been collected, then time for a Q&A session.
Log splitting demo

Have you ever wondered how we make our firewood that we sell at the visitor centre or for our campsite visitors? Drop by the visitor centre area and you can see a demonstration of our log splitting machine with our volunteer wood craft team.
Frostbite League

The Frostbite league comes to the park for their annual 5k race. keep a look out for the runners; cheer them on, give them space and please keep dogs on a short lead.

Ferry Meadows

Ferry Meadows is the ideal place for a family day out and one of the largest country parks in the region. Situated less than three miles from Peterborough city centre, at the heart of Nene Park, its varied landscapes make it the favourite destination for thousands of visitors throughout the year.
Water Pay & Play Activities

At Nene Outdoors, we run a ‘Pay and Play’ scheme, providing visitors of all ages and abilities with the opportunity to enjoy the watersports we have on offer. Book for half hour sessions on line or for one hour, book in person at the Nene Outdoors reception, hire our equipment and use our facilities.
Campsite

Our campsites are small but perfectly formed! Located in Ferry Meadows on the edge of Gunwade Lake, The Glade and Lakeview have stunning views across the water and are discreetly tucked away from the bustle of the rest of the Park.
