Assistance dogs

Assistance dogs are welcome throughout the Park including inside the Visitor Centre. Dog drinking bowls are provided outside the Visitor Centre, Ferry Meadows Café and Lakeside Kitchen & Bar. Please be aware of the presence of livestock around the park.

Mobility scooters and Mountain Trikes

Mobility scooters are welcome on all surfaced paths throughout the Park. Please note that the Riverside Walk is not suitable for mobility scooters or other wheeled vehicles.

The Park currently has four mobility scooters and two Mountain Trikes to help visitors with access needs explore the park. For full details on how to borrow a mobility scooter or Mountain Trike, please see our dedicated section on Hiring a mobility scooters or Mountain Trike.

Parking

Accessible parking bays are available in all of the permanent tarmac car parks. On busy days overflow parking is provided on grass fields.

Parking charges apply all day, every day. Please visit our Parking at Ferry Meadows page for details of charges and membership options, including our Essential Companions parking membership scheme.

Please be aware that there is a height restriction barrier of 2.1 metres. Oversized vehicles displaying a blue badge are permitted access to Ferry Meadows. For details of how to arrange access please visit our Parking page or contact us in advance of your visit.
