Experience the greatest concert film of all time Stop Making Sense (PG) for FREE at our open-air cinema in the heart of Ferry Meadows, thanks to Gateway Film Festival!

The greatest concert film of all time, Stop Making Sense, brings to the screen Talking Heads at Hollywood’s Pantages Theater in December 1983: David Byrne, Tina Weymouth, Chris Frantz, and Jerry Harrison, alongside an ecstatic ensemble of supporting musicians.

Renowned filmmaker Jonathan Demme captures the band at their exhilarating best, in this new and complete 4K restoration for the film’s 40th anniversary.

Spread your blankets out on the grass in front of the big screen and enjoy the film!

Thanks to Gateway Film Festival, this film is free to attend, but booking is required. Please click the link below to secure your free spaces.

Gates open at 7pm, with the movie starting at 7.30pm. FREE parking is included with your open-air cinema ticket. Food, snacks and drinks will be available to purchase on-site, plus picnics are welcome!

Ferry Meadows is the ideal place for a family day out and one of the largest country parks in the region. Situated less than three miles from Peterborough city centre, at the heart of Nene Park, its varied landscapes make it the favourite destination for thousands of visitors throughout the year.
Water Pay & Play Activities

At Nene Outdoors, we run a ‘Pay and Play’ scheme, providing visitors of all ages and abilities with the opportunity to enjoy the watersports we have on offer. Book for half hour sessions on line or for one hour, book two consecutive time slots, hire our equipment and use our facilities.
