Meadow Brown Restaurants is a well-established family-run hospitality and catering operation. We have been working in partnership with Nene Park Trust since 2013, when Ferry Meadows Café became our very first venue! In 2015 we successfully tendered for Lakeside Kitchen & Bar and have never looked back! We are constantly revaluating and in addition to the recent refurbishment at Ferry Meadows Café, we are pleased to be able to share some exciting new additions to our offering at Nene Park this year…

Woodfired Pizza Van

Some of you may have already noticed our shiny red pizza van situated outside Ferry Meadows Café – you can't miss it! The pizza van was originally a French fire truck hence its colour and unique style. It has been kitted out with a fabulous wood burning pizza oven, mini kitchen and prep area, allowing us to serve delicious woodfired pizza to Park visitors. The pizza van made its debut at the Peterborough Celebrates Festival and is now open Friday to Sunday, 12pm to 5pm and daily during school holidays (weather permitting of course!). Be sure to check us out and let us know your ideas for your favourite pizza toppings!

Lakeside Grab & Go

Lakeside Kitchen & Bar has seen the addition of Lakeside Grab & Go, the one-stop-shop for all your refreshment requirements. What was the Lakeside Farm Shop (now located in the Visitor Centre) has been turned into the ideal space for quick service, designed to reduce queue times during peak periods. Lakeside Grab & Go is open weekends from 11am to 6pm and daily during school holidays.

Lakeside Grab & Go serves hot and cold drinks, baked goods, pre-packed sandwiches and ice-creams. We have delicious milkshakes too, expect all the usual flavours, plus a few extras like our salted caramel and white chocolate varieties! Our smoothies are a firm favourite too – Coco Loco is our number one choice, made from a mouth-watering cocktail of coconut, pineapple and mango with a dash of lime and a hint of mint.

Event Terms and Conditions

Tickets are for use of the person(s) named in the booking only and are not transferable.

Should you wish to cancel your booking after you have purchased your ticket Nene Park Trust will aim to offer your place to anyone else who may be on a waiting list. However should this not be possible Nene Park Trust is under no obligation to offer you a refund.

Under no circumstances will duplicate tickets be issued for lost or damaged tickets. Please keep your ticket safe.

Ticket holders consent to the photography of the event, which may be used for promotional purposes.

The Nene Park Trust reserves the right to implement any restrictions/conditions deemed necessary before and during the event to ensure the safe management of the event.

Nene Park Trust reserves the right to cancel an event at any time if our staff consider that to continue with the event would be hazardous to themselves or members of the public.

In the event that Nene Park Trust cancels the event, refund is limited to the face value of the ticket only.

Nene Park Trust reserves the right to exclude any individuals from an event if our staff or event leaders acting on behalf of the Trust feel that to allow them to continue would be hazardous to the individual or to others and/or affect the enjoyment of others. How to Find Us
Ferry Meadows lies 3 miles west of Peterborough and just two miles east of the A1. On all major routes into the city, look for and follow the brown tourist attraction signs for NENE PARK or the country park symbol. Ferry Meadows is signed on Oundle Road (A605).

If using a Sat Nav we recommend entering "Ham Lane, Peterborough", the entrance road to Ferry Meadows. The post code for the Park is PE2 5UU.

As an independent charitable trust, Nene Park Trust receives no funding from central or local government and is totally reliant on any income we generate ourselves. Every year over £50,000 is spent delivering guided walks and other public events. Most of the events led by Nene Park Trust staff are offered free of charge or on a cost recovery basis. Following events our staff will invite you to make a voluntary donation to the Trust. If you have enjoyed an event and would like to make a donation this will go towards the cost of continuing to offer events and facilities to the public.

Growing our family groups at Ferry Meadows

Water Pay & Play Activities

At Nene Outdoors, we run a ‘Pay and Play’ scheme, providing visitors of all ages and abilities with the opportunity to enjoy the watersports we have on offer. Book for half hour sessions on line or for one hour, book two consecutive time slots, hire our equipment and use our facilities.
