Education What we offer Home Educators Join our Wild Home Educators Groups at Nene Park! Unlock the wonders of learning in nature with our Forest School sessions tailored for home-educated children and their families. At Nene Park Trust, our Education Team believes in providing a relaxed and fun educational setting that builds curiosity, creativity and connection with nature. Our Forest School sessions give home educated children the space to learn through exploring, play and hands-on experiences in the great outdoors. Led by experienced educators who are passionate about nature-based learning, our Wild Home Educators groups run every two weeks at Ferry Meadows. Sessions cover a wide range of topics and may include tool use skills, wildlife identification, outdoor survival skills, sensory exploration and much more! Our Groups Monday Sessions: 1pm-3pm, activities are aimed at children age 5-11, and run every two weeks. Friday Sessions: 1pm-3pm, activities are aimed at children age 11-14, and run every two weeks. (This new group starts on Friday 3 May.) Each month has an overarching theme, which is repeated at both sessions, but may vary slightly depending on the groups engagement. Themes and activities change each month. Places are £7.50 per child, per session. Please book places for any participating child. Grown-ups attend for free and are asked to stay with their children throughout the session. Most of the sessions take place outside, so please dress for the weather. Our relaxed groups follow a flexible approach, children are encouraged to take the lead and are always welcome to take time out if needed.
