Our very own Devon Brooks, Nene Outdoors Watersports and Activity Centre manager, is taking on the challenge of swimming six miles at the Serpentine Swim 2023 event!

This is a huge challenge, which we are so in awe of Devon for taking on. He is doing this to raise money for Nene Park Trust, the charity which looks after and manages the entire Nene Park, including Ferry Meadows, Orton Mere, Thorpe Meadows and more!

When asked what Nene Park Trust means to him, Devon said:

'Home. I spent my childhood here learning to sail andwindsurf and my first job was on the beach back in 2012. After some time away I returned in 2016 to work here full time'

We hope you will join us in supporting Devon by using the donate button above and helping to spread the word. You will be giving Devon some much needed motivation to get through the training and the swim itself!

We will be following Devon's journey to six miles on our website and social media pages with #SwimWithDevon - so please keep your eye out and follow along!

Devon will be doing a lot of his training in Gunwade Lake at Ferry Meadows, where every Thursday we have open water swimming sessions. We are welcoming anyone to come along and swim with Devon, try open water swimming for the first time or pass on some tips!

If you would like to swim with Devon please get in touch for us to arrange: [email protected]

Thank you Devon for doing this. We are with you all the way and can't wait to see you do such a great job!
