Lakeside Activity Centre
Lakeside Activity Centre will offer the people of Peterborough, in particular families and young people, exciting new leisure, and sporting opportunities. We have now submitted revised plans and hope to start construction in early 2027. Read More
This five year project, funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund will complete in 2026 and includes improvements to Park infrastructure, new events and community projects that will respond to the growth of the city and region. Read More
In 2020, Nene Park Trust set out to transform 500 acres of traditionally farmed land by partnering with a pioneering, nature-friendly farmer. The contract was awarded to brothers Craig and Ryan Baxter, who began managing the land in October 2020. Read More
The new bridge over the River Nene at Thorpe Meadows was installed at the end of 2023 thanks to a combination of funds from Peterborough City Council, Nene Park Trust and generous donations from Tarmac Landfill Communities Fund and FCC Communities Foundation. Read More
Nene Park Trust is working in partnership with Urban and Civic to develop Prestley Country Park at the Alconbury Weald housing development, near Huntingdon. Read More
Lynch Farm is a hidden gem, a Grade II listed farmhouse and outbuildings on the edge of Ferry Meadows in approximately 7 acres of paddocks and green space. Nene Park Trust is working on a plan to bring the site back into community use. Read More

Back in 2024, Nene Park Trust purchased 552 acres of land at Eye (area to the East of Peterborough) with the purpose of developing a sustainable farming model on the site, with thanks to funding from NEIRF (Natural Environment Investment Readiness Fund). Read More
