Walking your dog
Dogs are welcome everywhere within Nene Park and there are some wonderful walks available for you and your four-legged friend to enjoy. We just ask our visitors to follow a few simple guidelines to keep everyone safe and protect our wildife:
Ferry Meadows
- On Lead Zones: Please keep your dog on the lead on the busy central paths around Ferry Meadows, marked in purple on the map below.
- Off Lead Zones: Feel free to let well behaved dogs off their leads on our meadows and quieter paths, but please make sure that you keep your dog in sight and in close control at all times.
- Scoop the Poop: Please clean up after your dog and use the correct bins provided, leaving our Park a clean space for everyone to enjoy.
- A Park for All: Not everyone loves your dog as much as you do! Please do not allow your dog to approach other visitors uninvited, especially children.

- Dog Agility: Discover our dog agility course on Coney Meadow, complete with tires to jump through and ramps to climb.
- Our Dog Wash Stations: Muddy pups can get fresh and clean after their adventure in the Park at our Dog Wash Stations in Ferry Meadows. It’s quick, easy to use, and keeps the mess out of your car and home – just clean paws, happy dogs and even happier owners. Click here to find out more.
- Dog Friendly Visitor Centre: We’re always keen to meet your furry friends in the Visitor Centre – come in and say hello! While you’re there, you can browse our wide range of pooch products, including locally made dog treats, leads, bowls and dog toys.
Wider Park and Rural Estate
Please be vigilant when crossing fields where livestock are present by giving them a wide berth. Keep your dog on the lead but release them if you are chased. Make sure you shut all gates behind you.
