Open Times
Spring / Summer Hours: 10am – 5pm, 7 days a week

Pre-Loved Children’s Bookshop
Just inside the Visitor Centre, our Pre-Loved Children’s Bookshop offers a fantastic selection of second-hand reads for children of all ages. Books are £1–£2, and every penny goes straight back to supporting the Park, so every book you buy helps the wild things wiggle, roam and fly! Don’t forget to join our Bookworm Club, collect a stamp with every purchase, and when you reach 10, a special Ferry Meadows bookworm will wiggle its way home with you.

Family Crafts
Right next to the bookshop shelves, families can enjoy our children’s activity table, with free crafts and activities available throughout the year. With new creations every month, there’s always something fun to try! Plus, our craft kits are available for a small donation, so you can take the creativity home and continue the fun.

Feed the Ducks
Did you know that bread isn’t good for ducks? To help keep them happy and healthy, we offer specially prepared duck food, which you can pick up for a donation at the Ferry Meadows Visitor Centre. It’s a simple way to give the ducks something safe and nutritious to enjoy.
You’ll also find a lovely duck feeding platform just in front of the Otter Play Area on the edge of Overton Lake. Feeding the ducks here means you can enjoy watching them up close, while keeping the paths clean and the birds safe on the water where they belong.

Pop in, say hello and see what treasures await at the Ferry Meadows Visitor Centre!
