The Glade

Small, but perfectly formed, The Glade is our pitch-only site, where campers can book a single pitch for just £28 per night and enjoy spectacular views and beautiful sunsets across Gunwade Lake. The Glade is also available for private hire for schools, small groups or family gatherings. If you want to make more of your stay, talk to the team at Nene Outdoors about organising some exciting group activities!

The Glade is a place for quiet camping and enjoyment of the countryside for all ages. Therefore, we ask camping guests to ‘leave no trace’ and to be especially conscious of noise that could disturb the peace and tranquillity of fellow campers or the amazing wildlife found in the Park.

The Glade facilities:

• Room for up to 10 small to medium sized tents.
• Access to a covered weather shelter, benches, a campfire pit and wash area.
• Access to a fixed BBQ stand on the campsite, use of which is shared with other campers. Other fixed BBQ stands are also available throughout Ferry Meadows.
• Access to the toilet and shower facilities at Nene Outdoors Watersports and Activity Centre.
• Access to a cold water tap for drinking and cooking on the campsite.
• Hire a firebowl for just £6 per night. Enjoy your own fire closer to your pitch, perfect for late night marshmallows. Book online or when you arrive to check in, we also have wood logs, kindling at £6 per load and British made kindling at £8.50 per bag. 
• Mobile phone charging station £2 per charge. Available in our reception during opening hours, your phone or small device is securely locked away while it charges.  
• Car parking is available in the new visitor car park adjacent to Nene Outdoors Watersports and Activity Centre. Parking for one car per tent is included within your campsite booking fee.
• The Glade is a dog-friendly campsite.
• Single night pitch bookings run from 1pm to 10am.
• Adult supervision required for under 18s.
• Please note no campervans, caravans or motorhomes are permitted.

Please note: The Glade is located next to Gunwade Lake next to the water’s edge from the campsite.

Single pitch hire £28 per night. 

Private hire for schools, groups and family gatherings £224 per night (minimum two night bookings).

The Glade accessibility:

The campsite is a grass area. There is vehicle access for cars to drop off equipment and ample parking space in the public car park nearby. Facilities at Nene Outdoors include an accessible shower, toilet and changing facility.
