Camping

Enjoy a relaxing night under canvas on the peaceful shores of Gunwade Lake in Peterborough. Our two family-friendly campsites, The Glade and Lakeview, offer the choice of cosy bell tent stays or pitch-only camping.

Set in the heart of Ferry Meadows, both sites are perfectly placed for exploring Nene Park and getting stuck into the action at Nene Outdoors Watersports & Activity Centre. Just a short walk away, you’ll also find Lakeside Kitchen & Bar for tasty meals and takeaways, along with the Visitor Centre, stocked with local produce, BBQ essentials and picnic supplies. Campers enjoy an exclusive 10% discount on watersports hire at Nene Outdoors, as well as at the cafés and Visitor Centre throughout their stay.

Both campsites are dog-friendly, so your four-legged friends are welcome to join in the fun, with miles of walks and trails around the Park to keep them busy.

Lakeview Bell Tent Campsite

Set right on the edge of Gunwade Lake, our Lakeview bell tent campsite offers beautiful waterside views and a peaceful, tucked-away setting. It’s ideal for relaxed, hassle-free camping, with eight fully erected bell tents ready and waiting.

Each bell tent sits on a wooden decking platform and sleeps up to six people. Tents are simply furnished with floor matting, a small heater, lighting and a power socket for charging phones or tablets, just bring your own beds and bedding. Bell tents hire starts from £72 a night.
