School Camping Residentials

With so many exciting activities available for school groups at Ferry Meadows, why limit the adventure to just one day? Extend your visit with an unforgettable exclusive stay at one of our peaceful campsites, just a short walk from Nene Outdoors Watersports & Activity Centre.

We offer two fantastic camping options:

  • Lakeview Bell Tent Campsite – a hassle-free camping experience with pre-pitched bell tents
  • The Glade Pitch-Your-Own Campsite – a traditional camping option with stunning views over Gunwade Lake

Both campsites are equipped with fixed BBQ stands, shelters, benches and a wash area, along with access to the well-maintained toilet and shower facilities at Nene Outdoors. Plus, enjoy private use of a spacious indoor area – complete with tea and coffee-making facilities for teachers – so the fun continues, rain or shine!

With space for up to 100 students and a wide variety of outdoor activities, Ferry Meadows offers the perfect setting for an unforgettable school residential in Peterborough.

Lakeview Bell Tent Campsite

Located on the peaceful edge of Gunwade Lake, Lakeview provides a stress-free camping experience. The site features 8 bell tents, each set on a wooden decking platform and equipped with power outlets for charging devices, floor matting and LED lighting. The Glade Pitch-Your-Own Campsite

For a more traditional camping experience, The Glade offers a charming setting with space for up to 15 medium-sized tents. Enjoy breathtaking lake views and stunning sunsets while embracing the great outdoors. Click here for full campsite details.

Tailored Residential Packages

Our school residentials are tailored around your school’s needs, schedule and budget. We welcome teacher visits in advance to explore the site and discuss your plans. Plus, Ferry Meadows serves as a great base for exploring other local attractions. View our example residential programmes below. Please note schools are to vacate the campsite by 10am on the day of departure.
