Collection Connects

We are thrilled to share that Nene Park Trust has been awarded funding through Arts Council National Lottery Project Grants for a brand new project – Collection Connects.

This creative project is all about bringing people closer to the artworks in the Peterborough Sculpture Collection as well as  supporting some much needed sculpture conservation work. The project will include music workshops, family-friendly art events, sculpture workshops, an artist residency, guided sculpture walks and volunteering opportunities.

The music workshops will be delivered in partnership with Britten Sinfonia  and will give school groups and care-home residents the opportunity to create brand new music with professional musicians  – all inspired by the sculptures in the City! Additionally, an  artist in residence will be working with young people to build their creative skills and co-create a new temporary artwork at Thorpe Meadows Sculpture Trail.

Restoring Peterborough Arch

In 2025, Nene Park Trust received funding from The National Lottery Heritage Fund, Henry Moore Foundation, Arts Council England, Peterborough Civic Society, Compare the Market and donations gratefully received from our visitors and supporters, to save the much-loved Peterborough Arch sculpture.

Norman Cross

Thanks to funding from Historic England and The National Lottery Heritage Fund we have now taken ownership of this site of the world's first purpose built prisoner of war camp, just south of Peterborough. We want to preserve the site and tell its fascinating story.
