New viewing platform over Gunwade Lake
We are delighted to reveal the completion of our new viewing platform overlooking Gunwade Lake in Ferry Meadows, funded by Big Motoring World.

This viewing platform is the second project for Nene Park Trust funded by Big Motoring World, following their support in the development of the new wildflower Meadow (Poppy Meadow) in Ferry Meadows last year.
This new viewing platform allows park visitors to get closer to the newly developed reedbed habitat in Gunwade Lake. The reedbed habitat creation was funded by the Valencia Communities Fund and the Environment Agency Fisheries Improvement Programme and was developed in partnership with the P&DAA.
Not only does the viewing platform allow visitors to view the reedbed and spot wildlife they may never have seen before, but it also offers a unique stunning viewpoint over the lake and the Park.
A huge thank you to Big Motoring World for funding this viewing platform. Without your support we wouldn’t be able to carry out additional projects such as this. This is a really exciting, valuable project and a wonderful addition to Ferry Meadows – we hope you will enjoy visiting and taking in the beautiful surroundings.
It has been a pleasure to work with the team at Big Motoring World, who have been so collaborative and enthusiastic about giving back to the environment in Peterborough where they operate and employ so many people. Thank you!
