Hop into an action-packed Easter at Ferry Meadows! From 28 March to 12 April, get ready for a fantastic line-up of outdoor adventures, wildlife workshops, holiday clubs and our egg-citing Easter Adventure Trail. Plus, don’t miss the return of the Big Jump Inflatable Fun Park, the perfect way to add some extra bounce to your Easter break!

Activities on every day
Easter Adventure Trail: Join us for an Easter adventure! Follow the trail and solve fun questions to claim your Easter treat prize. Your activity pack also includes exclusive Easter offers for watersports, boat trips, the miniature railway and more. Click here for all the details.
The Big Jump Inflatable Fun Park: Get ready to jump, climb and bounce your way through an unforgettable inflatable experience! Conquer a 300-metre obstacle course, explore a massive inflatable play area and let little ones blast off in the space-themed toddler zone. Open from 30 March – 12 April. Click here to find out more.
Oak Adventurers Holiday Club: An exciting multi-activity holiday club open weekdays from 30 March – 10 April at Nene Outdoors, perfect for kids aged 8-13. Action-packed fun awaits! Click here to find out more.
Acorn Explorers Holiday Club: A nature-based holiday club at Lynch Farm open from 30 March – 2 April for kids aged 5-8. Non-stop activities and creative outdoor fun. Click here to find out more.
Pay & Play Watersports at Nene Outdoors: Open daily between 11am and 5pm, choose from dragon and swan pedalos, row boats, stand up paddle boards, kayaks and canoes. Book your activities online to avoid the queues.
Hire a bike at Nene Outdoors: The perfect way to explore the Park! Available daily from 10.30am to 5pm, choose from a range of styles and sizes, including e-bikes, plus helmets come free with every hire. Book your bike here.
Daily Boat Trips: Enjoy a lake and river cruise on our electrically-powered passenger boat and see what wildlife you can spot! These 45-minute trips depart daily from the Visitor Centre Jetty. Suitable for all ages, it’s £11 per person, £3 for under 4s, and wheelchair spaces are available. Book your boat trip.
Book a Camping Trip: Camp under the stars by Gunwade Lake in our cosy bell tents or at our scenic pitch-only site. Perfect for families, our campsites are nestled in the heart of Ferry Meadows, offering easy access to all the exciting activities at Nene Outdoors. To find out more please click here.
FREE Crafts at the Visitor Centre: Join us at our activity table to enjoy some crafty Easter activities.
Ride the Ferry Meadows Railway & Vintage Carousel: Enjoy a ride on our miniature railway or take a spin on the vintage carousel. Running daily, weather permitting.
Events By Date
Climbing Wall – 30 March
The climbing wall will be back at Nene Outdoors, great fun for both adults and children age 4 and over. Who will reach the top first? Sessions are £13 per person and suitable for ages 8 and over.
Youth RYA Sailing Stage 1 – 31 March & 1 April
Learn the basics of sailing, including launching, steering and sailing across the wind, in this two-day course. Safe, fun and rewarding! Suitable for 8-15 year olds, £210 each.
The Secret Lives of Mammals – 2 April
Join a Park Ranger on a mini mammal adventure! Discover tiny creatures like voles, mice and shrews, and find out what they eat, where they live and what makes them so special. Who knows what you might spot along the way? Suitable for age 5 and over, it’s £8 each.
Community Litter Pick – 7 April
Put on your gloves and grab a litter picker, it’s time to become a Ferry Meadows hero! Help tidy up the Park and keep it sparkling green after all the Easter fun. Collect your kit from the Visitor Centre.
Indoor Archery – 8 April
Take aim and unleash your inner Robin Hood or Maid Marian at Nene Outdoors. Sessions are £13 per person and suitable for age 8 and over.
FREE Easter Crafts Workshop – 8 April
Hop in to the Den any time between 11am and 2pm and get creative with our Easter craft session. Use recycled, natural and eco-friendly materials to make colourful, seasonal masterpieces, perfect for little hands and big imaginations. Suitable for all ages, this is a free event but donations are always welcome.
Saxons of the Nene Valley – 11 April
Step back in time and uncover the secrets of the Anglo-Saxon Nene Valley. Join historian Professor Stephen Upex as he explores the first settlers, why they came, and how they built their lives after the Romans left. Suitable for age 12 and over, tickets are £8 each.
Visit Longthorpe Tower – Most Weekends
Have you found Peterborough’s hidden treasure yet? Step inside Longthorpe Tower and be wowed by its incredible Medieval wall paintings, some of the best you’ll see in western Europe. Join our friendly volunteers for a fascinating tour and uncover the stories behind this historic gem.
