Have you ever wanted to make your own magazine? In this workshop, you’ll learn how with artist Hornwyrm! Make a zine from scratch and share your message with the world. Art and collage supplies will be provided.
This workshop is being put on by the Your Community Greenspace project alongside our exhibition at Peterborough Museum & Art Gallery. The workshop will start with a brief explanation of what zines are and their history, with a few physical examples to share around. Then participants will do an idea generation exercise for topics, and will be shown how to fold a simple 8-page zine. The rest of the time will be dedicated to giving participants time to make their zines with feedback and sharing with the group if they desire.
Two sessions are available: a morning session 10am – 12pm, and an afternoon session 1pm – 3pm.
Tickets are free but there is a maximum of 12 slots available per session so book your space now!
You don’t need to bring anything with you, art supplies and collage materials will be provided by us.
You are, however, more than welcome to bring any materials you would like to use with you.
Peterborough Museum & Art Gallery has step-free access and access to a lift. There are also accessible toilets on the groundfloor.

Visitors are not allowed to take food and drink into the main area of the museum so we will not be providing refreshments during the workshop.
There is, however, a museum café on site you can use for eating and drinking.
