A fantastic opportunity to get up close and personal with one of Britain’s most elusive animals, the Badger.
Join our Park Rangers for a talk on the life of a Badger followed by a silent vigil at a Badger sett to try and catch a glimpse of these shy creatures.
Sightings are likely, but can’t be guaranteed.
We have three evening sessions from 7pm – 9pm across the dates of 24th, 25th & 26th April.
Due to the shy nature of badgers, we ask you do not bring dogs with you to this event to avoid spooking them.
Ground conditions can be slippery when wet and unfortunately not wheelchair accessible.
Please wear dark clothing, dress warm and bring insect repellent, walking footwear, a small torch and binoculars if you own some.
Camping chairs will be provided.
Badgers have an excellent sense of smell so please avoid wearing any perfume and do not smoke to avoid spooking them.
A large portion of the evening will also involve sitting still in the dark.
Cameras may spook the badgers so we ask you do not bring any cameras and simply sit back and enjoy the moment.
