Badger and Fox Play areas currently closed

UPDATE: Both these play areas are now open.

Please note that our Fox and Badger play areas are temporarily closed. We’re sorry for any disappointment this may cause and are working hard to get them back to full fun as soon as possible. Here’s the latest news:

Fox Play
Following the wet winter weather, the entire Fox Play area will be taking a little rest for the next month or so. We’ve fenced it off to let the ground dry out and recover, and we’re planting plenty of new grass seed. When it reopens, it’ll be greener, fresher and ready for even more fun adventures.

Badger Play
Our beloved wooden Badger Play area reached the end of its life and was removed in October 2025. Thanks to generous funding, £87,232.46 from FCC Communities Foundation and £10,000 from Compare The Market, our contractors have been hard at work this month installing new equipment. We’re now adding the finishing touches and awaiting a safety inspection, and can’t wait to welcome everyone back soon.

Otter Play (near the Visitor Centre) remains open for our youngest visitors.

Badger Play is due to open in the next few weeks and Fox Play will be following soon after. Thank you for understanding, we can’t wait to see you playing here again soon!
