Explorer Parties
Celebrate your birthday in Peterborough’s biggest playground
Throw the best birthday party ever at Ferry Meadows with our Explorer Parties! Perfect for kids aged 5 to 11, our parties are packed with fun nature activities and creative crafts. Whether you’re out on a bug hunt, pond dipping or making clay animals and magic wands, there’s tons of excitement for everyone.
Parties last 2 hours, including 2 fun activities from our list, plus 30 minutes in The Den party room. The adventure costs £180 for up to 12 kids.
Catering can be arranged with our on-site partner, or feel free to bring your own.
Since most activities are outdoors, make sure your party guests come dressed for adventure. Please note that at least two adults must stay with the children throughout the party and are responsible for their safety.

Make a Magic Potion: Hunt for magical ingredients in our world garden, then mix your own potion in The Den. If it changes colour, the magic’s worked!
Pond Dipping: Head to the pond and use special gear to find water bugs and maybe even a newt! After the search, we’ll safely return everything to the water.
Bug Bingo: Search under logs and leaves to find creepy crawlies, then mark them off on your Bug Bingo sheet. Who’ll get four in a row first?
Clay Crafts: Create crazy decorations from clay and natural materials, let your imagination run wild.
Make a Magic Wand: For budding witches and wizards -craft your own elder wood wand, pick a magical core, and decorate it to make it truly yours.
Den Building: Team up to build a den in the woods using natural materials, then test your creation with our “rain simulator”. Who will stay dry?
Adventure Parties
Get ready for the ultimate birthday adventure at Nene Outdoors Watersports & Activity Centre in Ferry Meadows
Our Adventure Parties are packed with exciting group activities, perfect for children aged 8 and up. Whether you want to splash around on the water or take on land-based challenges, there’s something for everyone. It’s all about having fun, learning new skills and making unforgettable memories!
Parties last for 2 hours, including 2 exciting activities from our list of water and land-based options and 30 minutes in our classroom*. The adventure costs £288 for up to 12 kids, with additional children at £24 each.
Catering can be arranged with our on-site partner, or feel free to bring your own.
Since all activities are outdoors, make sure your party guests come dressed for adventure. Please note that at least one adult must stay with the children throughout the party and is responsible for their safety.

Bell Boating: Team up and paddle together. Perfect for first-timers, this is all about teamwork on the water.
Bushcraft Shelter Building: Build your own shelter and learn survival skills while exploring the woods.
Bushcraft Fire Lighting & Campfire Cooking: Master fire-making and cook a tasty snack over an open flame.
Bushcraft Tool Use: Create tools from nature and take them home while learning safety and skills.
Canoeing: Paddle around the lake, play games and build confidence with expert guidance.
Climbing: Scale our climbing walls, challenge yourself and cheer on your friends.
Kayaking: Paddle with a friend or on your own, learn new skills and boost your confidence on the water.
Orienteering: Test your map skills and find hidden markers, pick a route and navigate your way.
Pioneering: Build cool structures like bridges or catapults using ropes and wooden poles.
Power Kiting: Fly power kites and learn to control them in the air with open fields to explore.
Problem Solving: Work as a team to solve puzzles and complete fun challenges.
Raft Building: Build a raft from barrels, poles and rope, then race to escape your “island.”
Stand Up Paddle Boarding: Stand tall on your board, learn new skills and have fun paddling on the water.
Windsurfing: Catch the wind and learn to balance and sail across the lake with ease.
