Youth RYA Sailing – Stage 2

Learning to sail is an exciting and rewarding journey, and we’re here to help you take the next step with confidence and enjoyment. Our RYA Sailing Scheme runs at Nene Outdoors Watersports & Activity Centre throughout the year, with each course delivered over two fun and supportive days on the water.

This Stage 2 beginner course is designed to build on the basics of dinghy sailing and help you grow your skills and independence. You’ll develop a better understanding of sailing on all points of sail, while learning key techniques such as tacking, gybing, ropework, and collision avoidance. By the end of the course, you’ll feel more confident in your boat handling, control, speed, and overall sailing ability.

To join this course, you must have successfully completed Stage 1 Sailing.

All safety equipment is provided, including wetsuits and buoyancy aids, so you can focus on enjoying your time on the water and developing your skills.
