Christmas is coming to Ferry Meadows, and this year we’re celebrating carnival style! Join the mischievous Christmas elves for a festive family adventure filled with carnival-inspired games and activities, live entertainment, festive surprises and an enchanted winter garden to explore, with plenty of elf antics along the way.
Taking place on selected dates from 26 November to 23 December, the Christmas Carnival is packed with festive entertainment and activities for all the family to enjoy.
No Christmas celebration would be complete without delicious food and drink, and our festive food trucks will be serving a selection of seasonal favourites. You can also browse our Christmas Pop-Up Shop, filled with gifts, decorations and festive treats.

Dog-Friendly Thursdays
We know Christmas is best enjoyed with the whole family, including your four-legged friends. That’s why every Thursday evening is dog-friendly. Everyone is welcome to attend as usual, but on these special evenings, dogs can come along and enjoy the Christmas Carnival with you.

Your ticket includes entry to the Christmas Carnival, where families can join our cheeky elves for festive carnival games and activities, wander through the enchanted garden and discover magical surprises along the way. Enjoy live entertainment throughout the evening, with seasonal food and drinks available to purchase, plus Christmas shopping opportunities to complete your festive experience.
This event is located at the Visitor Centre side of Ferry Meadows, with the entrance through the main welcome area. (Peterborough PE2 5AE). When you arrive at Ferry Meadows, please follow the signage for the Christmas Carnival and park at the first Ferry Meadows car park.

Tickets should be pre-booked through our website. If there are any spare tickets on the night, they’ll be available to purchase at our entrance gate box office on a first come, first served basis. Please note, it’s card payment only.

Yes. The Christmas Carnival takes place in wheelchair-accessible areas, helping more visitors enjoy the festive magic. Hard-surfaced paths provide a firm, non-slip route throughout the experience, and both an accessible toilet and a Changing Places facility are available nearby. If you would like to discuss any accessibility requirements before your visit, please contact us at visitor.services@neneparktrust.org.uk.
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer complimentary carer tickets or reduced fees for this festive event due to the limited capacity of the venue and the need to manage ticket allocations fairly and consistently for all attendees.
Thursday evenings are dog-friendly, so the whole family can enjoy the festive experience together.
Please remember to book a free dog ticket when purchasing your Thursday evening tickets, as spaces for dogs are limited.
On all other event dates, dogs are not permitted, except for guide dogs and assistance dogs.
Yes of course! The toilet block at the Welcome Area will be available which is located within the Christmas Carnival site, and includes a Changing Places facility.
You can log into your account on our booking system up to five days before your visit to change your booking date or time.

If for any reason a session is cancelled, a full refund will be given to all ticket-holders. Sessions will only be cancelled if the weather conditions present a danger to our visitors, staff and volunteers.
Yes! There will be a range of festive food and drink available to purchase within the Christmas Carnival event area. Tuck into favourites such as gourmet burgers, loaded hot dogs, loaded fries, hog roast and roast turkey baguettes, alongside sweet treats including doughnuts, waffles, popcorn and candy floss. You’ll also be able to warm up with hot chocolate, mulled wine, tea and coffee, as well as a selection of cold drinks. Vegetarian and vegan options will also be available.
This year, all the food and entertainment is located within the Christmas Carnival event area, so you will need to buy a ticket to enjoy everything that the event has to offer.
Please bring your confirmation email with you. This can be a printed copy, but we’d much prefer you to show us your ticket on your mobile phone to reduce printing! #SaveThePlanet
Full surveys have been undertaken to ensure the Christmas Carnival has minimum disruption on local wildlife. Event lighting will be kept within height restrictions to ensure there is no impact on bats.
