Synthetic Ice Rink

Glide into the festive season on our eco-friendly synthetic ice rink. The synthetic surface is scientifically engineered allowing skaters to glide, whilst having minimal impact on the environment. Suitable for ages 4 and over, prices start from just £6 per skating session and include a certificate for each child as a memento of their time on the ice. FREE car parking is included with skating sessions, providing an affordable as possible family-friendly Christmas experience in our idyllic Park setting.

Practical information for skaters:

  • Please be aware that as the evenings draw in, areas of Ferry Meadows away from the lights of the ice rink and Christmas market, will be very dark so please bring an extra source of light to help find your way back to the car park.
  • Free parking is including with your synthetic ice rink ticket. Please head to the Visitor Centre, Gift & Farm Shop after your session and show your ticket confirmation email to pick up your parking QR code from a member of the shop team. Take the QR code to the parking payment machine when you are ready to leave, enter your registration number and scan the QR code to redeem your free parking. Please note our Visitor Centre closes at 8pm, so if you are skating at our 7pm session you can collect your QR code from the ice rink team.
  • Mobility scooters will be available to hire from the Visitor Centre until 7pm during Christmas at Ferry Meadows, however they will be required to remain in the event area.
  • Dogs will continue to be welcome in this area of Ferry Meadows, however please ensure they are kept on a short lead.

Fundraising Christmas Stars

Our fundraising Christmas stars are a chance for you to help decorate the Park, whilst also supporting Nene Park Trust in continuing to provide greenspace for you to enjoy. To take part, purchase a wooden star from the Visitor Centre, Gift & Farm Shop for a suggested donation of £2 per star. Take your star home to decorate and then return to the Visitor Centre to be hung on display in the Park for all visitors to enjoy. We will also be running star decorating craft activities in the Park on the 19, 20 and 21 December.

Christmas Craft Workshops

Discover our popular festive craft workshops, run by industry experts. Book your place on our Christmas Wreath Making Workshop on the 4th December with Michaella from House of Blooms, or join Martin from Rutland Willows at our Christmas Willow Weaving Workshop on 11th December. Both workshops are suitable for age 16 and over.

The Nene Park Team are delighted to be offering a Christmas experience this year and cannot wait to welcome you all to join in the festivities!

Please note that tickets are only required for the ice rink. No ticket is required to enter the mini Christmas market and other festive activities, which are available to all Park visitors throughout the festive period.
