Try Running FAQs Will there be regular sessions? There will be ongoing sessions, but they may not be at the same time each week, it depends on the availability of our Try Run leaders. You will see who will be your leaders when you go through to book. Who are the running sessions for? These are sessions for complete beginners and our run leaders will be supportive and encouraging to help you get started. Why not book onto a session and see how you feel? How much are the sessions? They are free, this project is funded by the National Lottery Heritage fund as part of Nene Park Trust, Your Community Greenspace. The idea behind Try Running is to offer beginner running sessions to get people out in our beautiful green space, improving health and wellbeing, bringing people together to be supported to give running a go. Where do I park? The sessions are taking place at Thorpe Meadows, a lovely Nene Park green space near the rowing lake. We will meet near the car park at the new Thorpe Meadows cafe, you can find the parking via PE3 6GA. Can I bring a child in a buggy? We will be able to accommodate a small amount of buggies for each sessions (max 3 due to health and safety reasons). We will review in the near future if there is appetite for individual parent sessions. What is the age range? At this time we are welcoming 18 year olds and over, this may change in the near future. As this is a new project we are going to see what the appetite is for the sessions and can adapt accordingly. I have a medical condition, can I still join? You will be asked when booking if you have any medical conditions, we advise that you seek assistance from you GP before signing up, if you get the green light then please sign up. I am pregnant, can I join? Please see advise from your midwife on what exercise is advised, if they are happy for you to run then please sign up. Manage Cookie Preferences
