We run volunteer sessions both for members of community and for corporate groups and other organisations. This is an opportunity to gain experience in how to run and organise practical conservation sessions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist the task supervisor
  • Prepare tools and materials for the task
  • Prepare work areas and check for hazards
  • Assist in ensuring that risk assessments are adhered to and that volunteers work safely
  • Take photographs before, during and after the task
  • Ensure that relevant paperwork is completed to record attendance and task details

We require that all volunteers provide their own sturdy footwear and wear appropriate clothing for carrying out practical outdoor tasks.


Mondays 8.30am – 12.30pm and/or Wednesdays 8:30 – 4pm

There will also be opportunities to assist at additional sessions.

This role would suit those able to make a regular commitment for a minimum period of 6 months.

Skills and capabilities
  • Willingness to follow instructions
