The post of Ranger (Health and Safety) forms a key role within Nene Park Trust’s Park Management Team, who are responsible for the day-to-day management of one of the most well-visited parks in the country with exciting ambitions for the future. As a valued member of the Park Ranger Team, you will help carry out Ranger duties within the Park to ensure it is well-managed and maintained, providing a welcoming environment for Park visitors and protecting its wildlife.

In addition, the post will provide health and safety expertise, with the successful candidate acting as the Trust's health and safety ‘champion’. You will also have a strong involvement with the Trust’s Health and Safety Working Group, requiring you to work closely with the organisation’s health and safety consultants, NFU.

As a result, the Trust would expect any candidate to be at least IOSH Managing Safely accredited.  A NEBOSH National General Certificate would be advantageous.  For any candidates without NEBOSH, there would be an expectation that this training would be undertaken.  The cost for this would be covered by the Trust, and allowance would be made for flexible working for this to be carried out.
