During this difficult time with schools closing and the need to practise social distancing, here at Nene Park the education team has been working hard to ensure we continue to provide activities for children and families to keep them entertained both in the Park and at home.

We are introducing two key forms of activity resource, free of charge, as follows:

1) A weekly trail in the Park.

Every Friday we will put up a new activity trail in the Park and upload the activity sheet and answers to our website on our new Children's trails and activities page.  Our visitors can then download and print off the sheets, bring them with them to the Park and have a go at the trail. There will be no need to go into the Visitor Centre at all, although while the Visitor Centre remains open, there will also be copies of the trail sheets available to pick up there. There is no charge for taking part in the trail; there will also be no prizes.

The first of these weekly trails is now up in the Park and it's all about pond life. Download the trail sheets from here

2) Daily activity sheets

Every week day from Monday 23 March, a new activity sheet will be uploaded to the website onto our new Children's trails and activities page. These will consist of simple activities that parents can do with children both in the park or at home. The types of activities will include spotter sheets, quizzes, craft ideas etc.

We hope you enjoy using these resources both when you come to the Park and at home over the next few weeks. Please share with us how you're all getting on via our social media pages or by emailing us at visitor.services@neneparktrust.org.uk.
