This summer, we're launching FREE beginner running sessions at Thorpe Meadows to create the opportunity for everyone to feel healthy, improve fitness and wellbeing while enjoying being outside in green spaces. Find out more and come and join in!

The run sessions are being led by nine enthusiastic volunteers who have completed a Leadership in Run Fitness (LiRF) qualification, funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, through the Your Community Greenspace project. One of the wider project aims is to bring communities together and to connect them to greenspaces through fitness and exercise. 'Try Running' is a friendly beginners introduction to running outside. Everyone is welcome!

Our qualified run leader volunteers will be offering sessions on different days and times to suit different people. They will lead the sessions at your pace and lead a warm up, run and a cool down exercise. They will be there to support you with any questions and help you feel at ease.

Please meet on the path near the new Thorpe Meadows cafe (not yet open), which is next to the Thorpe Meadows car park (PE3 6LN). You can park in the Thorpe Meadows car park (parking charges apply).
