Have you heard about our Nature Tots and Wild Home Educator family groups at Ferry Meadows? Led by the Nene Park Trust Education Team, these groups encourage kids to learn and grow through exploring, play and hands-on experiences in the great outdoors, whilst most importantly, having lots of fun!

If you've never been to these groups before, we'd love to invite you to come along and try your first session for free! Read on to find out more about the groups, then email us at [email protected] and quote 'NPT-Trial' to book your free place.

Nature Tots

For our youngest explorers, our Nature Tots groups for children age 2-5 and their guardians meet every second week on Monday and Friday mornings. Each session follows an exciting nature-based theme and includes hands-on craft activities, plus plenty of time to explore the wonderful wildlife around us.

Nature Tots is a fantastic way to spark an early interest in nature and the environment, whilst making new friends and learning something new every time! Sessions are £5.50 per child, with accompanying grown-ups attending for free.

Wild Home Educators

Our Wild Home Educator groups are exclusively for home-schooled children and their families. We welcome children age 5-11 on Monday afternoons, plus older children age 11-14 on Friday afternoons, at our dedicated forest school site.

Both groups meet every second week, with forest school themes and activities changing monthly. Sessions cover an exciting variety of topics such as tool use skills, wildlife identification, outdoor survival skills and sensory exploration. Our team encourage a flexible approach, giving children the chance to take the lead, while also having the option to take breaks as needed.

Places are £7.50 per child, with free places for accompanying grown-ups.
