The safety and wellbeing of our visitors, staff and volunteers is our top priority and we will take all necessary precautions to ensure their continued welfare. We are actively monitoring the situation with regards the outbreak of Covid-19 coronavirus and are reviewing and following the guidelines of the Government and Public Health England

If you are planning on visiting Nene Park from an area that has been directly affected by the coronavirus AND if you are showing symptoms similar to those associated with the virus (for example:  fever, cough, breathlessness), we politely ask that you do not visit and instead call NHS 111 for further advice and instruction.

For further information, please refer and adhere to the advice given by Public Health England.

Nene Park Trust is taking all possible steps to minimise the risk of contagion, including the implementation of enhanced cleaning regimes and the placement of additional hand sanitisers at key locations in the Park including our Visitor Centre and Nene Outdoors.  Antibacterial soap is already available in all our public toilets.

We ask all our visitors to observe high standards of personal hygiene whilst visiting Nene Park. There are simple things you can do to help prevent the spread of the virus, including:

  • wash your hands with soap and water often – do this for at least 20 seconds
  • always wash your hands when you get home or into work
  • use hand sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available
  • cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze
  • put used tissues in the bin straight away and wash your hands afterwards
  • try to avoid close contact with people who are unwell

If you do feel unwell during your visit, please contact a member of staff immediately – maintaining a safe distance of two metres where possible.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Public events and activity provision.

Public events will continue to run in the Park until such time as any advice is issued by Public Health England that may state public events should not be held.  We would ask all event organisers and participants to observe good hygiene as advised by the NHS

Opening of the Visitor Centre, Nene Outdoors and Cafes

The potential spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) may mean that Trust facilities may need to operate at reduced staffing levels.  It may also mean that certain facilities in the Park need to close at short notice.  The Trust will endeavour to keep the public informed via its website and social media of any closures or changes to opening times.

Opening of the Park and Park Security

Nene Park Trust will continue to operate a Duty Ranger system, where there will always be at least one member of staff present in the Park during Park opening hours.  The Duty Ranger can be contacted on the normal contact number of 07860 308081

Nene Park Trust's security provider, Intercept Security, will continue to ensure the Park is secure outside of the Duty Ranger working hours.

Car Parking

Nene Park Trust's car parking system will continue to operate as normal.  Should you have any problems with the car parking system then please see a member of Trust staff on site, speak to the Duty Ranger or a member of Visitor Centre staff, or use the help desk facility at the exit barriers.
