Come and join us for a week of activities over the October half term school holiday 19-27 October. There are lots of different activities for all the family to enjoy and get involved in.  

Activities include:

Saturday 19 October - Our half term holiday trail around Ferry Meadows kicks off. Pick up a trail sheet from the Visitor Centre for £1, follow the trail, answer the clues and pick up a prize at the end.

Sunday 20 October - 'Peterborough Morris' will be in the park showcasing their dancing at the following times: 10.45-11.15, Lynch Lake; 11.30-12.00, Lakeside Kitchen & Bar; 12.15-12.45, Ferry Meadows Cafe/Visitor Centre. Come and enjoy the music and dancing.

Monday 21 October - Charming Worms event. Book onto a morning or afternoon session and find out more about worms. You'll even make a wormery to take home with you!

Tuesday 22 October - Lantern making workshop 10.30-12.30. Come and make a lantern out of willow and tissue paper and return on Saturday 26 to take part in our lantern walk. We are also holding workshops with Fenton's Herbology in the morning and afternoon. Please book onto these events.

Wednesday 23 October - Come and make some FREE Wild Wednesday crafts 10am-2pm and have a go on our Climbing wall. No need to book.  We also have a Magical Mammals event at 10am (Please book)

Thursday 24 October - Lantern making workshop 10.30-12.30. Come and make a lantern out of willow and tissue paper and return on Saturday 26 to take part in our lantern walk. We also have shelter building sessions at 10.30am and 1.30pm. Please book onto these events.

Friday 25 October - Book onto our Tree Hunt and Broomsticks event at 10am. Solve the clues, find the trees and the witches things and you will get to make your own broomstick.

Autumn Festival weekend - Saturday 26 & Sunday 27 October 

We have lots of activities and events going on over the two days. Keep an eye on our website and social media for more updates over the next month.

and containers to take your own juice home with you!
Pay and play hire:  Swan pedalos and canoes
Just for our Autumn Festival weekend, these will
be available to hire on Overton Lake near the Visitor Centre.

Folk music: come and listen to music in the afternoon
1.30-4pm. Martin Kaszak is playing outside the Visitor Centre. 


Autumn Colour walk:
 Book 
a morning or afternoon
session and join one of our rangers in a walk around the Park to see the autumn colours and find out more about the trees.
Climbing wall: Can you get to the top? 
No need to book. £5 for 15 minutes.


Lantern making workshop 10.30am-3pm. Come and make a willow lantern and then join in the lantern walk at 4pm.

Lantern Walk: 4-5.30pm. Bring your lantern you've made this afternoon or earlier in the week and walk around Lynch Lake.
