Those who have visited the Park over recent weeks will have noticed a high level of blue-green algae in some areas of the lakes in Ferry Meadows.

We have been working with the Environment Agency to receive regular updates on the status of the water, to ensure safety of our visitors. The algae can be dangerous for dogs and also poses a risk to humans, so we appreciate your vigilance when visiting the Park.

The latest report informed us that the levels are dropping, but there is still blue-green algae present in Gunwade Lake. As a result, we will continue to offer a restricted service at Nene Outdoors where only swan pedalos will be available for hire.

Please continue to restrain dogs from going in the water. We have clean drinking water available for your precious pooches outside the Visitor Centre and cafes. We appreciate your cooperation and hope to return to normal service soon.
