Activities for Key Stage 2

See below the range of courses we can offer to Key Stage 2 age groups. 

Farming and Land Use

In this half-day course, students will visit the Nene Park Rural Estate to explore different land uses and discover how farming practices can impact on the environment.  Nene Park Trust have funding to offer a limited number of free visits to our Rural Estate. Classification

Spend the day exploring ways of grouping a wide selection of living things including plants, vertebrate and invertebrate animals. Click here to download our sample programme.

Explorers

Take on the role of explorers in a day of activities which will test their survival and team work skills. Click here to download our sample programme.

Living rivers

A day of cross-curricular activities linked by the theme of rivers.  Pupils will study a section of the river to gain an understanding of the physical and human processes that shaped it and how these influence surrounding wildlife. Click here to download our sample programme.

Using maps

Plants and their requirements

This day course will give pupils the opportunity to observe and identify the different species, parts and requirements of flowering plants, including trees. Click here to download our sample programme.

Romans
