Our RYA Sailing Scheme runs throughout the year at Nene Outdoors Watersports & Activity Centre\, with each course taking place over two fun-filled days in a safe\, supportive environment. \nPerfect for beginners\, this course introduces the essentials of dinghy sailing and helps build confidence on the water. You’ll learn how to launch and recover a boat\, sail across the wind\, steer\, turn and get to know the basic parts of the boat. By the end of the course\, you’ll have the skills and confidence to enjoy the freedom that sailing brings. \nAll safety equipment is provided\, including wetsuits and buoyancy aids\, so you can focus on having fun and learning something new.

DESCRIPTION:Our FREE Try Running sessions are aimed at new or lapsed runners or for people who just want to get fitter in a safe\, supportive and social group. The sessions are led by our volunteer run leaders who have all completed a leadership in Running Fitness (LiRF) qualification. \nSessions are FREE to attend thanks to funding from The National Lottery Heritage Fund as part of the Your Community Greenspace project. Please always book your place in advance so we know how many runners to expect. \nThe sessions are beginner friendly but everyone is welcome! Each session consists of a warm up\, a short run and finishes with a cool down. Our volunteer run leaders have great energy and enthusiasm and will be there to support you with any questions and queries you may have. \nWe also have a 5-mile run for more experienced runners on the first and third Sundays of the month at 9am from the Ferry Meadows Visitor Centre. \nTake a look at the Get Me Started Training Plan which will guide the running sessions. \n

Our RYA Sailing Scheme runs at Nene Outdoors Watersports & Activity Centre throughout the year\, with each course delivered over two fun and supportive days on the water. \nThis Stage 2 beginner course is designed to build on the basics of dinghy sailing and help you grow your skills and independence. You’ll develop a better understanding of sailing on all points of sail\, while learning key techniques such as tacking\, gybing\, ropework\, and collision avoidance.
